The tech who did the original work and also fixed the problem came right out of the shop when I pulled in.

For those of you in the southeastern Massachusetts area, it‘s Bettencourts Honda Suzuki. They have been there for years and are truly good folks.

”There’s this little mat, let me show you, it’s right here. When I put the valve cover back on I didn’t clear it out of the way and it got pinched under the valve cover.”

Occam’s razor carried the day, the most common problem, easily fixed.

She’s all snug in the garage and I’m going to put plastics back on today. If the honey-do list doesn’t bite me, a shakedown ride is in my plans!

It's a bit off my beat but it's nice to hear about a place that just does the right thing with no prompting no cajoling. And the mech told you exactly what happened. With all the grief shops get (deserved and otherwise) it's good that you give praise to a proper shop. Good on ya!
