I have my old Garmin in its RAM cradle, my not-a-phone GPS in a RAM X-grip, and the heated grip controller all attached to the clutch lever bracket/reservoir lid:

The X-grip is on a stubby arm while the Garmin is on the regular 4" arm. The grip controller is on a custom bracket to get it in a better position.

I've been "worried" about the vibration, but 20k plus miles and my phone hasn't complained. Let me know how it works.
Yours is on the dash so isn't getting the harsh vibrations transferred from the wheel/front suspension to the bars.. I used on my NatSTOC trip and worked fine. I figure at $20 is was fairly cheap insurance vs the phone cost lol.

You might want to consider the 'Perfect Squeeze" phone holder. I have one mounted via a ram system to my handlebar and it works great. A bit pricey but then so is a phone that falls off (DAMHIKT).

I've got a Perfect Squeeze and while a well made bit of kit it's a lot of overkill for a street bike mounted phone. I replaced it with a Tackform from MotorCycle Dave. The Tackform is an outstanding holder. It holds well and can easily be used with one hand. I don't know if/that there's a shock absorber available. My mount is on the riser and not the bars so vibration might be less. Anyway I like the tacform much better than the Perfect Sqeeze.

I can only speak to the ST1300, I went for a shelf and the Quad Lock with the "wireless" charger. IMG_4911.jpeg
Hey @Willsmotorcycle and @Mellow what's the ball behind the Quadlock head? I'm looking to do the same, but like you I have RAM component's and the QL balls are 22mm while the RAMs are 1" (25.4mm). QL says, Please note: The Dual Pivot Arms are not designed to be compatible with RAM mounting systems, please see the 1" Ball Adaptor for a compatible solution."

Do smaller QL balls play nice with RAM arms that use the 1"/25mm balls? I expect they could but have no firsthand experience.

Mine uses a bar mount not a ram mount as I have risers on my RT that has a bar-like section. I believe they are standard 1" ram balls on Wills.

Tom, I had no idea what you were talking about lol, I had to read it a few times. I looked at my history and yes, I bought the 1" ball adapter. Joe is on top of it as usual! Nice Joe!

How secure is the quadlock attachment to the back of the phone (the glue on part)? My main phone does not have a smooth back so I was a bit leery of that so didn't buy one.

I have a case specific for my phone, super secure, no glue. I figure it has to work and the phones expensive, not a place I'm trying to skimp, I'd rather cut corners in other places. Not implying you're trying to save money, just my perspective.

That would work. Unfortunately, they do not have a case that fits my phone.
The Perfect Squeeze works well for me though.
