Hi Guys, just being up in Scotland for the last week with my ST1300 2006. Yesterday just as we where leaving our B&B @ Fort William, I turned on my genuine Honda heated grips and then I noticed the LH one was smoking, along with a burning smell.
The 4 green light heated control unit fastened in the LH lower fairing, still lights up, & goes from 1 to 4, & back down to 1, no problem.
I've rung David Silvers, & Fowlers, neither has them in stock, & their talking of in excess of £470.00 for the newer type that Honda fitted to the handlebars as replacements now. I would like to keep the original set up, if its at all possible.
What I was wondering might anybody possibly have a pair of the unused Honda heated grips in there garage, perhaps needed the controller unit, and not fitted the grips ?
I'm more than happy to pay a fair price & delivery, if anybody has any laid around in their garage
