Bike: 1994 ST1100 ABS/TCS
Springs measure 474mm
I took my forks apart to replace the seals. I posted elsewhere that the cartridge (LH) side had an 83mm spacer but that the damper (RH) side had no spacer. I was given measurements for the stock spacers. 50mm cartridge side and 130mm damper side. I can install the spacer on the cartridge side but I cannot compress the spring enough to fit the collar under the nut on the damper side. @John OoSTerhuis recommended a wrench on each side of the damper rod between spring windings to get the needed leverage but I still need approximately 2ins more of compression. If I remove the spacer all together I can fit the collar.
Edit: I saw a post on st-riders.net about Progressive springs taking a 83mm spacer which is why I ask about mine.
