i'm going to try asking this once more- it's been over 6 months and figure that by now someone has played with the new replacement audiovox has started to sell. i currently have a older vacume opp. model and the unit has died. i have tryed fixing the problem but as of today it hasen't come back to life. the servo cable was shortened and servo installed in the right side down on the frame bump outs. heat might of been my problem..any way i have a trip comming up and am thinking that i'd be better off just changing over to this http://www.audiovideo4me.com/Audiovox_250_1316_Ultracruise_II_Cruise_Control_p/250-1316.htm.. my question is - can this unit be taken apart and cable aultered? this time around i am going to install in clean air in the headlight cowling, but still want to get rid of excess cabling.
