ram ball + powerlet on standard steering cover?

Is it my imagination that MCL made a steering head cover for use without a riser that included both a powerlet outlet and had a ram ball cover?

Thought so but can't find it on MCL or Powerlet sites....

I do remember seeing somebody put that mod together. So you're not crazy from that standpoint. I'm with you in not remembering who it was.

No, not your imagination. Larry sells the ST1300 RAM BALL MOUNT COVER with or without a power outlet. I got one without. It's very well made and provides a solid mounting point for my 2730 GPS.

I do remember a member modding the OEM plastic cover that comes with the bike. He cut a hole where the Honda logo is, and put the outlet there.

I wouldn't put a RAM mount on the stock handlebar cover. It's plastic, and not very thick at that. The Powerlet socket should be fine, though.
