I’m sad to report that Jim Murgatroyd, known here as “cnjmurg”, passed away quietly and unexpectedly early this morning (1/5/19). Jim had been a long distance tourer for many years, rode from his home in Northern California to the 2011 Moonshine, Alaska, all through the lower 48, mentor to many of us grasshoppers, and a good man, husband, father, brother, and friend. As part of a riding family, his wife, Donna, known on this site as “LilRedRider”, rode and toured on her ST1100 before getting her FJR, and along with her two boys all ride and have several garages full of great bikes. He’ll be missed.
