Plan on doing valve clearance check this coming sat, march 20. I hope I don't have to change out any shims, but just in case, does anyone in Chicago or southern Wis. has the kit to borrow ?

I picked up Mark's kit on Saturday last; but, I don't think I'll be getting to it until the weekend.
I also don't know who has asked Mark (the East coast Mod Mark) for it already.

I thought the kits were different for the 1300 and 1100. I guess I thought you had an 1100. The OP has a 1300 based on his profile.

Chris (HerST) has an '05 ST1300, I (HisST) have an '01 ST1100 and Mark's kit has shims for both bikes.

It's the full Hot Cams kit that George has very kindly augmented with a lot of 1100 shims.
Nobody's on the waiting list except Dale, who's not in any rush to get it, and he lives very close to me. Whoever wants it next, drop me a PM and I'll let you know what to do. I'll probably have Mark ship it directly to you when he's done. I can't remember the last time I saw the kit. Might have been last spring when I did my valves.
