I fired up my ST about an hour ago. I saw smoke for a solid 5 minutes until it subsided completely. Idle seems fine. Rides great. I was not surprised by a little winter smoke, I was surprised by 5 minutes of winter smoke. Any conjecture about what's maybe going on? Thanks in advance! Consider that much of it is actually water vapor accumulated in the exhaust over winter. especially if the bike was started, and run for short periods over winter.
I started my 2014 CB1100 and watched it "Smoke" for four or five minutes. Here the weather was mild and humid. The vapor doesn't evaporate quickly.
I can't start the ST. It is 1700 miles from here. Bummer.

I'm guessing it was just white steam smoke, which is probably just water in the exhausts. If it's now stopped, ride.
If you can. If not, put it back to bed.

Thanks for the quick responses - relieved! Much appreciated. Took a ride again this afternoon in the midwest wind. Rode like it was on rails. Gotta love these bikes.
