Thanks Dave,
My '93 ST has 97,000 [miles?] on it, and I have yet to ride it. As a matter of fact, I do not know for sure what model it is. I believe it is the 49 state model based on the frame # JH2SC2603PM****** . From what I have read the 0 indicates a 49 state model. Am I right? ....
Yes, a zero in the eight position of your ST1100 VIN or frame number indicates a USA 49-state model, one originally without California smog equipment. Such models are necessarily non-ABS, standard models. The P in your 10th position confirms that yours is a 1993 model.
(The only quirk in the coding was that a zero was also used for space eight, and a 3 was used for space 10, on the 2003 USA Police ST1100 model, which came with California equipment. But your ST1100 is far removed from that model.)

Bike dealers are likely to describe your model as a
1993 ST1100 (A) , or even more briefly, as an
ST1100P (A) where the P is the year code for 1993, just as in the VIN, and the letter A can be thought of as a market or area code for American/49-state.

Honda parts dealers are likely to drop the parentheses and call your model a
1993 ST1100 A.
Here is a link to an example of that:

(Another quirk in the coding is that A is elsewhere also a model type code for ABS/TCS model. For example, an ST1100A is an ABS model whereas an ST1100 A is an American, 49-state model like yours.)

By the way, which state is your Haverhill in?

I am looking at purchasing 2002 ST1100. The current owner says that once he starts the bike, he has to remove the Fuel Cutoff relay in order for it to keep running, Any thoughts on this?
