The hinge on my top is developing a split/crack/fatigue. To tell the truth, it was doing fine till I bumped in to it while open. I doubt Honda sells new hinges. Anyone know a good fix for this damage ?
Thinking melting plastic tie strips -or glue on a new strip of plastic on top.

Yea , that is the what I can come up with also , maybe a few good stainless steel (boat) hinges -one at each end. But then I watched you tube. There are some Great plastic wizards there - maybe here too !

If you want to fix the plastic hinge you can always try melting in steel wool or braided wire sheath (or solder sucker wire)

Something along these lines:

I'm unsure how flexible that would be, but it's a great repair tool for normal plastics when you need a "mesh" for strength.
