Not having the rear tip-over bars I joined the "Tip-Over Club" earlier this week (pulled away in 2nd on a right turn, my stupid mistake). I expected major damage to the pannier and silencer, but all I found was a scuff mark on the 'wing cover'. Honda did a good job to limit damage.

I put the GW tip-over Bars and love’em. Haven’t had occasion to test them, but they seem very solid.
They play well with passenger feet!

Did you have to drill the motorcycle frame to install these? Where did you get these bars?

Look for “red dirt cowboy” in the Vendor Announcements “For Sale” section. He makes adapter plate kits to go with the Gold Wing tipover Bars. No drilling is,required... very easy to install.
