Someone recently posted an ad selling a pair of BygDawg rear tip-over bars. Included is a video made by someone showing the installation process of the tip-over bars. These are secured using the same screw locations as where the step frame bolts to the sub-frame. Included in the video was the removal and re-installation a lock-nut on the lower screw holding the step frame to the sub-frame.
This lock-nut caught my attention because my ST1300 is a 2009 that I bought new and it does not have these lock nuts, nor has any other ST1300 that I have worked on. Out of curiosity I checked the parts fiche and I don't see them listed on there either.
Are these something that were on certain model years only? I don't think that these were installed by Honda. Maybe they were added to this ST1300 by someone and the guy who made the video doesn't realize it?
