Interesting idea. Were I to get one the first thing to do would be to paint it. Deterrent effect be damned – I'd want someone to get a face full. Then I'd take my bike and scurry off before the criminal kicks the bucket or stumbles into traffic and is hit by a vehicle.

Maybe include hard mounting points so when the lock is cut dye is squirted at the criminal and not too much on the bike.
