Due to my location, i couldnt get exact battery for my 2004 ST1300. After tedious serch i was able to get Jogoz(probably China) battery with the following specification.
12N12A-4A-1(MF)
size 140/85/166.
charging- standard 1.2A*5-10hr
quick 12A*30Min
Charge voltage 13.8v-15v.
I have 2 concerns, the battery fitment and voltage specifications, i will appreceate any advice on compatibility for the bike.

I just changed my battery tonight so I had an OEM battery available to measure. Length: 149 mm Width: 86 mm Hight: 110 mm.
Electrically the battery you found looks compatible but it will not fit in the battery box.

Looking on line it appears to be 113 CCA. The oem is rated at 230CCA. (cold cranking amps)
It also looks too tall to fit in the battery box.

Note;
I'm assuming that a ytz14s is the std battery there.

The charging amperage and times are kind of irrelevant for picking out a battery.
That's more for picking out a proper charger. A charger rated around 1.2amps is about right for the motorcycle battery. Also the charging voltage is not out of line with any 12 volt lead acid battery. You can ignore that for comparison as well.

To fit the ST you're looking for an equivalent to the ytz14s.
Size to fit the battery box. Positive terminal on the correct end.
Capacity about 11.2 Amp Hour and 230 CCA. And type AGM preferred over flooded cell.

Avtrician

Multiply the inches x 2.54 to get centimeters

You may need to get and connect a battery tender, it will trickle charge your battery while you are not using the bike. Even though the bike is turned off, there is a small load placed by the computer to keep everything alive.

For the past 1 year, i rode on(never exeeding 200miles) and off, storing the bike 2-3 wks at stretch, so far the bike never fail to start under 10 seconds except once, and its only some strange noise before starting. We don't have steady electricity, so trickle charger aint no good. I have ordered the YTZ14S from Amazon in advance for the rainy day.
