This short video shows the difference in body motion when setting a Progressive Suspension rear shock at rebound damping settings 1, 2, 3, and 5. Setting 1 is clearly underdamped, setting 3 eliminates visible repeated oscillations, setting 5 felt overdamped for my tastes. Riding in to work today on setting 3 felt pretty good and less harsh than riding on setting five over the last few weeks. Suspension was likely "packing" over some bump sequences and not extending quickly enough due to overdamped rebound at setting 5.
