Western Arizona Roads

If all works out I will be travelling from Joshua tree NP to Phx. Wondered about nice scenic routes from there to Pheonix. I plan on salt river canyon east from Phenix up to Heber, Payson.

Probably just stay on I-40 East. Once you get to Kingman it's pretty scenic. Then maybe cut down to Phoenix at Flagstaff or better yet go north from Flagstaff to Kayenta and through Monument Valley. Very scenic.

Between JT and PHX your routes are limited, and pretty much the same scenery. CA62 -> AZ95 -> I10 is the most direct route. CA62 -> AZ72 -> US60 -> US93 is another option.

Thanks for the replies I could only see those couple roads. Probably just ride 60 in...I've been on most of the other roads...

Watch out of Elk in the mountains, around green trees and water. They like to come out in the mornings and evenings, and aren't bashful.
