Which Avon Storm tires for the ST1100?

Hi guys..... only 2nd post so just getting used to the forum.

I'm picking up a 2002 ST1100 this week with under 2000 miles on the clock. The bike looks new. With such low miles, I'm presuming that the original 7 year old tires are still on the bike and I think it's time they were changed.

So I'm looking at the Avon Storms, but I'm a bit confused by the sizings and loads. I know the front is a 110/80-18 and the rear is 160/70-17 but I'm not sure what all the other numbers mean....

ZR17, AV56, 79v etc.

Can someone give me the exact numbers I should be looking for?

Just realised that my ST1100 has ABS so I presume that means that the front is a 120/70-18

ESSJAY - Avon storms - Front would be 120/70ZR18 (AV45), Rear would be 160/70ZR17 (AV46 - same on all models). Where in Ireland are you located? If all goes well, I'll be over there riding next year in the June timeframe in the southwest part (Ring of Kerry).

OK, think I found the tires on an Irish website:

Front: Storm-ST AV 55 120/70 ZR18 TL 59W
Rear: Storm-ST AV 56 160/70 R17 TL 79V

What is the difference between the front "ZR" and rear "R"?

I'm based in Dublin but Kerry has some beautiful countryside.

Phil the AV45/46 is the Azaro I think replaced by the Storm

ESSJAY - Took a ferry from Scotland and spent the night just north of Dublin. Then rode the coast up to the Giant's Causeway then back down the other side. Lovely country!
