Have a 2006 ST 1300 brand new owner. Very happy. Want to put some delicacy slip ons on it need some comments. Does it lose? Will you lose any low end power by adding those slip ons versus stock exhaust? Any pros and cons? Please help me out. Thank you. Big kev. Delkovic sorry

I think I got a pretty good deal on it. Only 27000 miles paid 3500 for it, but it needed everything done, I've done everything on it. Coolant, old rear-drive spark plugs, air filter did the brakes put all new speed bleeders on it, I've done everything to it.

The big thing you loose is the heat from the original mufflers, I have the Staintune mufflers on my ST's but had one with the Delkovic mufflers with no loss of power.
That's awesome.Thank you.I was going to get the 17 inch.Try ovals, the stainless ones.I just wanted to.I've heard some people say that you lose a little low end power. But I want to make sure I don't lose that , but thank you very much for your comment

Yeah, I figured you would lose some heat. That's a good thing

Another question 🤔, is the only servicing area of the driveshaft on the rear wheel detaching area on those splines and is there any seals back there tgat I should replace when taking wheel off, ty

27k is pretty low mileage. Greasing the splines w/moly paste is necessary. However, your bike is 20 years old so anything that is rubber you want to look at closely and determine if it needs to be replaced. There is an o-ring around the base of the splines.

Ty very much, just that one, and about how big is that please

Part 3 of 3. Race begins 5 minutes in. Great sights...and sounds.

And this channel.... ST1300...Delkevik....racetrack. Great sound. I have met and talked with this good guy.....All gain. No down side. AS others have said..less heat too.

Awesome. Thank you very much.

The mufflers seen in vid......are no longer seen on the Delkevik site. They are tri oval.14 inch..similar shape to stock ST...with the turn down being very different.

Mike recently switched over to these mufflers. Some good sound bites on his youtube channel.

This Video.....at 10:04 shows earlier mufflers.....the ones I believe from the race track

Im thinking on the 17inch triovals i believe they have a little bit deeper sound than the oval ones. What do you think

Di you think any modifications or changes need to be done to my bike.Just by adding slip on exhaust, has oem filter, no other changes to the bike, I just dont want it to run lean by adding the slipons, thoughts?? Ty

Depends on the baffles... most of the time you will have a lower backpressure resulting in low end loss...on mine I wrapped the baffle until I got the low end back. Wasn't really concerned with wot performance since I rarely ride above 5000 rpms. No other mods or tuning needs to be done the ecu will adjust for some variations If they occur....

I found with aftermarket exhaust, decelerating popping was excessive. I found it irritating until I disabled the PAIR system. That cut the popping in half. One just has to remember to re-enable it if they put the factory exhaust back on

THis Vid from 2 years ago. Should be useful.

Yeah, I definitely don't want no decel popping. Because that spells a lean condition. I don't like that decel popping. I probably will just stay with stock if that'll happen, I didn't think just adding slip on would cause that decel popping, though.
