G'Day...

3°/14°C @ 82% RH, still overcast and some rain in the morning 🌧️, should clear up during the afternoon ☀️

ze GF ran late and had to rush out da house, so I slurped my cups as loner... :coffee:

tinkered on someone else's '85 bike yesterday, success on both issues originally focussed on, but now the charging system is about to fail...

nothing on the schedule today... guess I'll play "houseman", doing laundry, baking bread (nah! not Braking Bad... ⚗️), installing light fixtures and stuff...

this site is acting up again today, after kicking in my VPN to have a secure line its running flawless... weird...

there is a glimpse of weekend dawning on the horizon... 😎

Good morning everyone

Thanks for the start, Martin.

It's 45°F and clear in Rockville now, expecting another perfect weather day with cloudless blue skies and air warming to 69. I could get to like this pattern and it pleases me that it's forecast to last for at least another week before perhaps changing slightly. At the moment Halloween looks decent- a high in the mid 70s, low around 65, mixed sun and clouds.

That's good news for the next door neighbor, who has been laboring as usual to decorate his house and yard for the occasion. It takes most of the month of October, and draws onlookers who swing past to watch the progress. This will be the last year he does it, he says, so I'm glad it'll have decent weather and presumably a good draw to go out on a high note.

Yesterday turned into goof and more goof- a full 18 hole round with strangers followed by the regular late afternoon half round with friends. I thought I might be feeling it this morning but was pleasantly surprised when my arms, legs, and back all went into action with but little complaint.

The uke club moves into new quarters today, after we were summarily dismissed from our previous venue last week. We'll see how the new place, or places, play out over time.

Satay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.

Thanks again, Martin.
I'm already on my third cup, one pot down and maybe another shortly.
There's a whole lotta things I ain't never done...
And too much coffee ranks up at Number One.
(With apologies to Commander Cody and the Lost Planet Airmen - and yes they were a band. From their song "Too Much Fum.)
OK, moving on...
Couple of long pre-course assignments have to be completed before Day 1 of the RiderCoach prep class, including the e- course that had just been released when I quit coaching.
First weekend is taking the BRC again, which is always fun for me.
But no longer are there any Suzuki TU250s, Honda Nighthawks (which constantly required changing fouled plugs), or Kawasaki Eliminator 125s. They have aged out, and are replaced by the Honda Navi and other weird stuff.
No biggie.
Whatever it takes.
Guess I'll make another pot, it's too dark, too cold, and too early to go to work yet.
BINC.
Not out loud, anyway...

Morning all, and thanks for the startup, Martin.

4C for the ride to work in the dark. 10C and cloudy for the ride home, if lucky.

Today's the annual flu shot clinic at work. The flu? Nobody's got time for that crap. An ounce of prevention I say.

Not much else on the books, other than to continue yesterday's PHP mitigation crap. That might be part of Martin's problem, as the issue has world wide implications. Many companies and governments just took down their websites until the upgrades can be rolled out. Phhhhhttt as Ray would say.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Obo.

Mornin’ y’all. I’ll have a cup, if you don’t mind, Martin.

Our weather is similar to Keith’s. 45 degrees to start, but we’ll reach 75 this afternoon, under clear skies. This pattern repeats for the next 7-10 days.

I was supposed to start radiation treatments this morning, but I’ve been rescheduled to start tomorrow.. So, fo the next couple of months, it’s going to be getting up early for a 7:15 AM appointment, 5 days a week. Another Pfffttt moment.

John

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee, Martin.

It's clear and 46 in MA this morning remaining clear/sunny and rising to 63, later.

I accomplished all of my To-Do list items, yesterday, except for dinner at the local BBQ place. Instead, I found an excellent pulled pork sandwich at our local pub.

Today, I'll head over to the gym again, and then on to whatever today's plan is.

Enjoy the day,
Steve

Morning all! Overcast and grey here. The rain seems to have decided to quit.....for now. 9C right now, 14C later.

Took a different route home last night, instead of getting on the main drag and then the Pat Bay Highway, I decided to ride up through some city streets. It was a beautiful ride through tree lined streets, no cookie cutter houses and interesting topography - it's not uncommon to see rocky outcrops everywhere. It added about 15 minutes to the commute home but I discovered that I was more relaxed and enjoyed the ride much more. I may have found my new route home.

Hope everyone has a great day!

G'mornin' from SoMD! Thanks for the coffee, Martin! Good to see you're at least making the most of your unintended and unpaid vacation. And I hope you get everything you deserve from that no-good, piece of garbage former boss, AND MORE!

WFH today. Mid-year check-in with my own boss. Maybe a grocery run later. Not much planned and I'm cool with that.

Yesterday was our brush-up rehearsal which ended up finding out one of the lights was kaput. I had it all apart to remove oxidation from the contacts getting hot. Cleaned & scraped all the terminals and wire conx redone. Got it half together and the ceramic bulb base cracked apart, rendering it junk. So, we'll replace it with one of ours to finish the run.

@Mellow Ovaltine and embers? Good for you. All you need is some Weetabix.
Eh, that looks more like hot Metamucil cider...good sipping.

Take care y'all!

Morning Martin & All from a wet morning in Southern Utah!

Currently it is 53F, up from 51F and heading for 64F, with thunderstorms most of the day. No breeze now, later the winds will be out of the SSE @ 21 to 25mph.

Keith, thanks for the "Hot Rod Lincoln"! One of my oldie favorites!

I woke up @6am to thunder. Fell back asleep, only to wake up to more thunder. So far today we've gotten 0.2" of rain, with more on the way. A very nasty looking storm is heading my way.

Yesterday I took some stuff out to the big shed and then started cleaning it up. After lunch I changed the oil in the :dr13: along with the rear end gear oil.

Today, I'm not sure. I might start in the garage, it needs some going thru.

I haven't heard one word from the repair guy on our fridge. I don't want to rush him if it's having more issues than expected. I can see the repair bill increasing though. :redface-2x:

Boiled eggs, bacon, toast, OJ & Lemon Tea. Cold Pepsi in the fridge.

Anyone :bl13:, have a great day on the roads! :hat3:

Good morning Martin and everyone else on Java life support. I have been away for awhile because I put up my radio antenna and chasing signals across the pond has been a priority.
Nothing much going on here except for painting a bath vanity and installing a new top. Dog to the vet this afternoon.

I woke up @6am to thunder.
How far off, did you sit and wonder?

Stay safe!!

You kidding, it's still booming away... and it's almost 2 in the afternoon!

Wondering how much we are going to get?

And WOW we just got hit by a hail storm! For a minute, I was wondering if it was going to go through my office window! :eek-2x:

Ah yes. The song I always associate with them is Hot Rod Lincoln, which they covered in 1971:
Definitely their best known, but they were a very eclectic band with lots of covers, and many lesser-known originals.
Another I like is, "Smoke! Smoke! Smoke! (That Cigarette)"
Funny song.

Yea, hail is no fun. We lost a roof and some windows in Texas one afternoon. I watched hopelessly out the window as my pristine 86 Camry was battered with golf balls.

When I opened my front door...

My backyard. Thank goodness for my drainage I've installed! That's all water between the rocks and the big shed.
