Thoughts on VFR1200x?

In the honda shop today I saw a 2016 VFR1200X with 9200 miles and clean as a .... Since my ST crossed 130k in the IBR last week I've been thinking of a replacement bike. After 4 STs in a row I think I'd like to try something different. Criteria: Ease of wiring up aux equipment, ease of installing aux fuel cell, fuel capacity, comfort, availability of aftermarket equipment (guards, cases, etc) shaft drive, bulletproof. Yes, I know I just described the ST.

Thoughts on the VFR1200X?

Customer traded his ST in on a used one with low mileage.
Found most, if not every aftermarket accessories did not fit correctly.
Skid plate and engine guards cracked mounting points on engine.
Service was way harder than the ST if you can believe that.
Had to remove all guards and such, then several pieces of plastic just to service the air filter.
He tried several seats, and handlebar risers, and finally gave up and sold it for another ST.
The brakes were amazingly easy to bleed was the only pro point.
Too heavy, too tall, and discontinued so quickly, made finding parts and stuff hard.
Just my .02
I rode it for a weekend after going through it, and can honestly say my 650 versys was more comfortable and capable.
 
Stumbled here either in 2025. I've started to think of VFR1200XD (D for DCT version strictly) for 2up cruising after my beautiful ST was hit by dammit youngsters.

In a meantime ST will get it's body fairing and painting with no rush.
