This bike should have instructions for criminal speeding! In sixth gear, everything seems like 85 mph or above! Caught me at 100 mph more than once!
A beautiful ride! Enjoyed my first hand warmers and cruise control!
Went 40 miles down a road to discover the tirn i needed was closed and gravel. Another day!

Trying to figure where to go tomorrow. Presently in monument valley and dont have to b home till Monday eve.

That's every new bike I've owned. Except only one had a 6th. Without the noises I was accustomed to on other bikes looking at the speedometer was the only clue I had. Ain't nobody got time for that! The ST was worse in that without a gear change even copious amounts of roll-on throttle never felt fast. Brisk yes. And brisk is my SOP so nothing new. Until I checked the clock. Never a siren or reds and blues in the mirror so lucky there.

Great that you're having big fun with your new ride. Head on a swivel. :D

Gorgeous pictures! I wish I were with you! Keep 'em coming. :)

I got the same feeling with my first BMW, the F800GT. I was passing through Sequim on the Olympic Peninsula. The significant part of that is Sequim was known for it's speed traps. I was just traveling along at a speed that felt nice and relaxed. I saw two WSP cars on the side of the road and glanced down at my speedometer. I thought I was doing maybe 62 in a 55. Gulp! I was doing 90!

I'm jealous. :D I was down in the Albuquerque area last summer, but it was hot. Hot, like in triple digits. I'll bet the weather is perfect now.

I was serving on the parking lot team at church this morning. Rain and thunderstorms threatening with wind hard enough to blow our signs over.

How long would it take to get there??? :unsure-2x:

I keep going back to that area simply because the geology is so varied. Riding Utah 12 is breathtaking. One of my favorite portions is along the Hogback through Grand Staircase - Escalante going north.

This is one of the areas that I love.

Those cliffs on the right seem like sentinels watching over the land. And there in the middle of the lighter coloured area is this rock coming out of the sand around it. It sticks up like one of those thin cookies they'll stick into the ice cream on your sundae. Totally unique. And on the left, you can see the red rock of the landscape behind it.

There is a lot of that here. A guy could spend months on the paved back roads here.

Two things:
1. I didn't know you were even old enough to ride a BMW yet. (You know what they say...)
2. I'm really digging those conchos on the back of your saddlebags. Very Western, very Ameicana and rustic.
