84 years ago - 1941 - over 2,400 brave Soldiers, Marines, Navy Men, Air Corps and civilians paid the ultimate price for their service to this great country.
Let us never forget that our freedom was paid for by the blood of the brave!

Not forgotten, not as long as I live, Phil. And not as long as my sons live. The singular world-changing event that caused my father, John Richard Sjodin, to enlist. He survived the fighting in the South Pacific only to be Killed In Action during the Korean War. Requiescat In Pace

Several of our uncles and father in law to be joined up as soon as the news hit. All came home but two left quite a bit of themselves in the Pacific....never got over the experience. There were more sacrifices than life and health.
All gave something.

Thanks for the reminder. My father enlisted the next year and was in the Signal Corps in Patton's 3rd Army. I retraced his footsteps in Europe a couple of years ago from Utah Beach to Munich.

Amen to that. Sadly the things that people should care about in this country is being replaced by pop culture. Especially our young folks don't care to know what a big deal it was. As for me I can say yes it is very important to me. Thank you to all Veterans those that have passed and those that are still with us.
