Those Vetters were huge! I had an old riding buddy that found one somewhere and put it on an 80's Suzuki GS850.I'm surprised to see no Vetter-ized Goldwings.

Beautiful machine. Looking forward to more pics.
My first motorcycle....New 1979 GL 1000. Fantastic machine. Sheesh...I was 32. I had less than 50 miles astride motorcycles.
My GL 1000 was black also. I ditched the chrome fender March 1980. Installed black fender from 1980 GL 1100. Factory striping matched GL1000 striping.
Foolishly, I traded my GL 1000 for the new GL 1100 Interstate in May of 1980. Regretted that choice.
Again.... Sweet machine. Not a money pit either.
