Anybody put an EarthX lithium battery in their ST? How do you like it?

Be using a li-on for the last 4 years. Also have a Li-on battery maintainer. Was about $100 at the time.

EarthX batteries are very well made and are very very expensive. They are well known for their aviation batteries.

Yeah, that's where I ran across them. I had a couple of customers asking about them and I've installed a few in various aircraft, a Decathlon and an Extra. They both wanted low weight and better performance. They weren't at all turned off by the "aviation dollars" cost. We all remember the Boeing 787 debacle.

Big advantage of lithium batts is their light weight. Makes picking the bike up after a drop easier and the bike will accelerate faster. Too, your lighter wallet will add to both of these advantages.

The Boeing batteries were a different lithium chemistry (there are several different kinds) than the Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries used for motorcycle starting batteries. The Li FePO4 chemistry is much more resistant to runaway than some others, but at the cost of slightly less energy density.
