Old Enough To Remember?

… then threw up on the plate and table.
Ouch!
I gagged on named pea-soup... whilst I love peas and could eat them right off the plant/out the pod, that soup has something deeply disgusting...

I'll munch liver... fried, backed (crusted) with roasted potatoes aside... also black pudding/blood sausage...

Celery (the bulb) and zucchini OTOH are something I (still) rather avoid...

Mine was liver, just like in the picture. In my case I gagged, tried again and gagged again… hard… then threw up on the plate and table. Never was served liver again!

That brought back memories, but not liver. When we were kids my Mom had to boil the milk (delivered straight from the cow) and a skin would form on it, which made me gag, and I'd pick it off and throw it in the sink. One day my Mom told me to drink it, skin and all and she held my mouth closed until I swallowed it. I gagged and heaved it through my nostrils, dragon like, they were all rolling on the floor laughing and I thought I was going to die. I was never forced to drink milk after that.

We drank raw milk from cows. I dont ever

remember Mom boiling it.....but if you didn't shake the F%<< out of the jug you got nothing but cream...nasty thick shiat....i still shake a jug of milk today....50+ years of milkshaking

I remember my aunt and uncle had a cream separator on their back porch to process the milk from their cows.
