A notorious womanizer walked into his local bar and ordered a stiff drink.
The bartender noticed how uneasy he looked.
“What’s wrong? You seem terrified.”
“I am,” the man replied.
“I received a letter from an angry husband threatening to kill me unless I stopped sleeping with his wife.”
“Then stop seeing her,” said the bartender.
The womanizer took a long drink and shook his head.
“I would, but the idiot didn’t sign the letter.”
I used to have a sign on my office door, indicating the danger level to anyone foolish enough to disturb me. The scale went from No Danger through Low, Mild, Moderate, Severe, Extreme, and ended at Life Threatening.
The only mitigating factors when it was at Life Threatening were a major fire requiri g immediate evacuation, or delivering the multi-million dollars winning lottery ticket. There were no other acceptable reasons.
