Good morning!
My fishing buddy has made us some very nice slow brewed coffee.
We’re back in his cabin, after a 8 hour drive on gravel and dirt roads yesterday.

We’ve had wonderful days fishing.
Quiet and relaxing.
I’ve done the cooking, and we’ve had a lot of laughs (not about the food…) in the evening around the table.

Tomorrow is a nine hour drive home…
I could stay here forever.

Might be a great place for a Norwegian SToc, though from what you've said it sounds kinda fishy. That's OK.

12C and rain for the ride to work in the dark. There's a faint tone of predawn pink as I walked across the parking lot from the bike to the office. 19 and sun are what's expected later on.

Mrs. O and I did get out for about 5 hours yesterday, and found a mostly roads we'd ride again, and a stretch we won't. We've only found 2 stretches on our "heck no" list over the past years. Hopefully they'll be resurfaced in the future, as the scenery is wonderful. There were points I was doing 40 or 50 in the posted 80 and driving on the opposite side of the yellow line, trying to find a smooth track.

It seems like you're having a good time.

It's a bit cloudy this morning and 59f. The Weather Channel says that it's clear, though.
It'll become partly sunny and the temperature will rise to 79.

I got out with the neighbor's dog , yesterday, and she got some swimming in, along the walk.
I finally made it to Home Depot, and bought the facia boards for the front stairs. I'll cut them and replace the old boards, when I get home from the track.

That said, today's another car track day, and I'll probably take the bike.
Brenda's fall bowling starts tonight , so I might be on my own for dinner.

That view looks similar to what we fish and hunt in near our moose camp.
I’m off to see the dentist, but, I can’t complain too much, only a few cavities after a long time away from any dentists.
It’s beautiful morning here on the Bruce Peninsula.
The water is calm and no nasty bugs, etc.

I'm excited because I woke up with a pulse today!
Good start, IYAM.
Came home after errands yesterday, to find Roz had gone to a BBQ drive thru, ordered a meal, and in addition to her lunch, she picked up a small kitten.
She didn't eat the kitten.
An employee there told her the animal hangs around the drive thru, and had been almost run over by cars several times.
It was sitting behind the building, making sad, plaintive meow sounds as cats are wont to do, and her inner cat lady said " I can't leave him here to starve or being hit by a car."
It slept in Kaiser's crate last night (but not with the dog) and is supposed to go to the vet this morning for a checkup and a new home.
It's an attractive tuxedo cat, looking much like the last cat she was to "foster"... guess who "fostered" that one?
He's very friendly, and not afraid of people so he's not completely feral.
He's fed now, and this morning I went to feed him again... thought I'd see if he would eat kibble from my hand.
Bit my finger, and I felt it, then when I put the top back on the cat food container, there was blood on it.
Little dude isn't used to being hand fed, I guess.
Soap and hydrogen peroxide.
I don't think I'll die.
Mr. Mobile Mower Mechanic will come diagnose my Dead Deere rider on Wednesday, and I'm sure I know the problem.
It won't start.
Stu sure posted a pretty picture, didn't he?
I wouldn't want to leave a place like that either.
But I do have to leave y'all for a while and go to work.
Be glad for what you have.

G'mornin' from SoMD! It was good to be back in my own bed, but bills don't just go away so back to work for me! Thanks for the perk and nice view, Stu!

The weekend is over and we got back in pretty good time, 420 miles in about 9 hours with one stop for bathroom and food. Didn't even gas up as the Av did really well, I think there's still several gallons as the low light isn't even on (that's about 2 gal remaining). Not bad for a 24-year old car, I just kept it on cruise and didn't even need AC.

Unexpectedly, my BIL's newish Jeep Grand Wagoneer (2023, 51k miles) just decided to stop working Saturday. He'd been there since Friday so no problems until then. First it showed a bunch of warning "lights" on the digital dash, asked to put the remote next to the start button, then dead. First we/I thought main battery bc a weak btty always makes modern car electronics go nuts, but I then suggested that maybe try the remote btty first bc of the request to hold the remote to the button. While that did revive the remote it still didn't wake the truck up. He ended up getting it started from AAA Sunday morning. It took the tow truck's battery PLUS a jump pack to get it started. Tells me we should've replaced that btty instead but oh well, I was trying to read the symptoms. We had to shuttle them around and me help diagnose, instead of having some down time. It wasn't all bad as we took a scenic boat tour around the bay. Some very swanky waterfront homes and gorgeous yachts including a monster sailing yacht named "M5" with a single 290-foot main mast owned by an oil exec. I spotted the mast right at the start of the tour from across the bay it's that tall. Beautiful up close.

Today much more mundane. Decided to WFH as I'd had enough driving...I've renamed Connecticut "Crawlnecticut"bc we crawled through that entire state both ways. Return the tux, get laundry done, walk dog, and mow front lawn are on my agenda. Hope everyone has a good day. Take care y'all!
 
Morning Stu & All from sunny, Southern Utah!

No clouds in the skies for the first time in a week or so. Currently the temp is at 75F, heading for 84F. A very slight breeze at this point, but later the winds will be coming from the NW @ 9 to14mph.

The weather is still looking good for WeSTOC 30! :hat3:

Chris decided the peaches needed canning, so we did that, then she decided the corn needed trimming and sealed for the freezer. Then, in the mid afternoon, we went to a friend of hers, so I could hang some patio solar lights. We got home around 8:30 PM and we'll be heading over to finish it up, this afternoon.

And hopefully, we'll hear from the fridge repair guy today.

I still have a number of things to do for WeSTOC 30. And I'm running out of time!

Boiled eggs, bacon, toast, OJ & Lemon Tea to start the morning. Pepsi(s) in still in the ice chest.

Thanks for the coffee Stu. I overslept a bit today, which is to say I didn't leave myself enough time to do more than make coffee for myself, eat breakfast, feed the cat, and bolt out the door for goof. By this time the wonderful brew offered by Stu will have gone cold and acidic. Sorry I missed it.

It's a gorgeous early autumn day here in Rockville- bright blue sky, strong sun, dryish air, a light breeze, temperature around 84. Now that I'm back from the self-abuse course I've got some yardwork that needs seeing to, so I'll get that done in a bit.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.
 
Good morning and thanks Stu. That is a very nice fishin hole!

A nice start to the day with sunshine, but it might get very warm this afternoon. The wind will be coming from the South thanks to Lowell and temps are predicted to be 88 with heat index of 96.

Kauai was blasted overnight with high winds and flooding resulting in lots of property damage.

I managed to get 95% of the yard work finished yesterday, today the dog and I might just sit around with our tongues out.
