Bridgestone 023 Line

This line appears on my front and rear after only a few hundred miles. Both lines are slightly left of center. They ride great, but I've never seen a line like this on any brand I've used. Thoughts? Ideas? Concerns?

Very common on the 023's - also on some other tires as well. I was told this was a carbon trace intentionally made to eliminate static electrical buildup.

Hey thanks for the info. Must check my 023's today, haven't noticed the line yet, but at least I won't have to worry about it now.

I've been riding with that line for over 2000 miles now and it hasn't caused any issues.

That is normal for the 023 tire for me I had them gone in 5000 miles on the first rear and 7600 on the second rear tire. They do handle very well.

This reminded me I had taken pictures of the lines on mine also and I had totally forgot about it. Glad to see it's more than just me.

Definitely a 'static' line' per the Bridgestone Tire Rep - not a dual compound line that you sometimes see on other tires after some wear.

So it's not like that strip in money where the guvment can track me? hahaha.
Thanks all. Sure hope I can get some real miles on them. They really ride, lean, and grip nice. A little stiff compared to Pilot Roads or Metzlers, but so far so good.

My BT023 had it as well. It was definitely gone by 5700 miles as the cords were showing as the tire was wore out.
