So I walk up to parts desk at local Honda stealership and ask for 4 quarts of coolant. Guy behind counter says that doesn't sound right, looks it up and says less than 3 quarts needed. So I get home and check again in the small manual that comes with bike, it says 3.7 quarts. Anyone know for sure when doing coolant change.

Get the gallon jug from the Honda CAR dealership and be done with it. So...you'll have .3 gallons left. The gallon jug is so much cheaper than buying four quarts from the STealership. Using something other than the Honda pre-mix is a whole 'nuther thread.

Confirming John's suggestion.... 1 gallon Honda Type II 50/50 premix coolant at the auto dealer is mid $20's and there's a small amount left when you're done. :)

I prefer buying a gallon of the full strength coolant and then picking up a gallon of distilled water for a buck more. Gives you two gallons of 50/50 mix for only a few dollars more than the premix.

BTW, the rebate sticker is right on the bottles of Prestone...
