In the bottom of the front brake reservoir, there is a stainless part that covers the egress holes. It is called the "protector" in the Wing parts list. The Wing uses the same design as the 1100, and the one that should be there is gone. How important is that little bugger? I would bet I can steal one from my parked 97 if it matters.
Who knows the answer? :)

I think it protects nothing. If it is not there and you aggressively pull the brake lever, fluid will geyser up out of the hole. Do not ask how I know.

Cool, no worries then. In the Wing's set up there is a flat thin foam part that floats. that would serve the same porpose I would say, as long as you keep a cleye on the fluid level.
Thanks guys.
