Congrats! I've got a SS1000 and want to do a BBG as soon as my new career affords me the time to do so...

tankereng: I want to try a bbg alsofnmag: lakes Michigan, Huron, and Superior have their own cert, lakes Erie and Ontario are much smaller and called the lower great lakes by the IBA so there are only four great lakes rides plus the great lakes challengecarpdm: thanksjeff: I was going to do the great lakes challenge this year but i'll be meeting up with some friends from Oz, they will be in Pa. at the same time everyone will be doing the GLC

Very well done! did you have comrades or were you solo? What time did you start your ride? Looking at doing the lower lakes this year. It is almost exactly 1000 miles around the two.

my buddy tony took this ride with me, he rides a big twin Harley, usually when I'm on an IBA ride I don't take pic's but while we were stuck in traffic on the international bridge between sault ste marie Michigan and sault ste marie, on. ca. I spotted a laker clearing the soo locks and took a pic of it and then one of tony, he said good idea and took one of me

on the lower great lakes ride there were about 30 of us but we broke off into smaller groups. add a few extra miles so when the IBA checks your route you don't come up short

Well done Buzzard. I'd like to loop them all some day. I bet the Canadian part would be awesome.
I did end up doing this ride in 2018. Started/Ended in Watertown, NY. Approx 2500 miles in 44+hrs. And yes, the Canadian portion was the best...even with those slow speed limits.
