At last I don't have to break my neck (or drop the bike on the gravel driveway) backing out of the garage.
Got a 12" lazy susan bearing set (1250lbs load) from 'Bearing Kings' plus a 13" diameter circular bit of 4mm plate steel and bingo I can ride the bike into the garage, pop the centre stand onto the plate then turn the bike 180 degrees and ride it out forwards again. My 7 year old grandson turned the bike on his own tonight (I was on standby just in case, but it was great). ?18.90 (about $30 - I think) the lot!
Also fitted the 'Tyrepal' TPMS tonight - brilliant. No more fiddling with valves unless I see the pressure readouts have gone down before we mount up. Need to keep checking tyre conditions though.
Wife's jobs now while riding are monitor the Satnav and the tyres - saves her talking through the intercom all the while! What else can I get her to do??
Next thing is to sort out safely loading the bike into the box trailer behind the motorhome for Summer.
Paul S - still new and still smiling
