I was unaware the ST1300 had a fuse set to blow at 50,000! On our way back from Death Valley today I stopped to take a picture of the odometer reading. I turned the key off while we were taking a break, turned it back on, the panel flashed then went dead except for the clock-no speedo, no tach, no gauges. Turned out a 10amp fuse labeled "meter" was blown. Pretty strange coincidence.

Will this serve as a mileage notice as well, Joe?

Home you are close to home when you have the 100k photo op LOL.
I think that one takes out the fuseable link.

Chris's didn't blow the "50k" fuse... I'd look around and see if I could find the short though...

All 50k yours?
If so (and I suspect they are) open a thread here!

No, not all mine-only 29K on the ST, 13K on the FXDF, 18K on the XL1200R, 2.5K on the XT225 in the last 3 years

Mulitiple bikes definitely slow down getting to 50k on an ST...
You're just going to have to bite the bullet and... go ride the ST! :D

Did you hunt for a (or find the) short?

Haven't yet, the gauges are back on and the tail light is working. I'm hoping the fuse decided to go south on it's own and not the result of a short. I figure when I jerk the tupperware off next time, I'll look more carefully. Any thoughts from anyone where I should look. Nothing obvious in the exposed wires that I can see. I'll look a little more in earnest Saturday, 'cuz it's gonna be a little rainy.
