Crazy idea...

I thought about it, but the 1300 box is too "rich" for my blood! I don't think it would be too difficult, and it outta look good!!

If you can find a rack for the 1100, it shouldn't be hard to attach the topbox mounting plate to the rack. Alternately, a flat plate of aluminum, cut to fit and then drilled to fit the exiting grab rail mounting locations, and the topbox mounting plate.

OK folks this is what I did.

Remove the Honda plate from the Varadero mounting plate.

Remove the triangular locking thingymabob from the Givi plate.

Line up the Honda plate with the Givi plate.

Drill some mounting holes in the Givi plate.

Drill some mounting holes in the bottom of the Honda plate.

Bolt the Honda plate on to the Givi plate.

Fasten on your topbox.

I know it's rigidly mounted (not with the usual Honda side to side slop), but it works. I haven't noticed any problems even at speeds upto 90mph.
