While I’m still commuting on my ST, I’ve decided to part ways with her once I can narrow-down a replacement. I’m not even sure if anyone would be interested so I’ll be completely honest, and go from there. I picked-up my burgundy ST from the original owner in October ‘17 with 1700 miles. It’s been my daily commuter, road tripper, and occasional camping companion ever since.

Issues:
- 26 knock sensor code. I’ve replaced the sensor, and the code persists intermittently.
- While changing the water pump shaft seals due to a coolant leak, I replaced the clutch with aftermarket parts. As a result, the bike slams loudly into gear from neutral, and the clutch drags. The problem decreases as the bike warms, but never fully goes away. Oh, and there is still a slight coolant leak from the seals.
- It needs tires.

On the plus side:
- Never been down.
- Bone stock, but I’ve replaced the windscreen, added Oxford grips, a 1.5” bar riser, LED headlights, and a givi top box.
- Oil every 3-3.5k miles.
- Custom bag liners

Photos below.

Too bad you're not on the east coast. You can't use aftermarket clutch packs with these bikes. It eats them for lunch and destroys the motors [I've got four engines in my garage that are ruined].

Have you changed out the ECU?

Welp, shucks.
I wish someone would’ve responded with that info to one of my two posts asking for info while I was changing the clutch.

Can help you with the ECU or Code issues, however, the clutch issues could be something as simple as your clutch slave cylinder, or since you said you used aftermarket clutch parts, you could have used the incorrect length springs. Several of the aftermarket kits clutch springs are about a quarter of an inch too short compared to OEM honda springs.
You could have also put it back together incorrectly. Did you make sure all the plates were facing sharp edge out (towards the front of the bike), and did you off set the very last plate into the shallow slots, and not in the same slot as the others?
Did you verify the judder spacer and washer were placed correctly as well?
Did you soak the plates over night before you installed everything?
There are too many incorrect you tube certified mechanic videos giving out poor advice lately that folks follow.
