2006 ST1300 ECT sensor?

The FI light came on and it flashes 7x, indicating the Engine Coolant Temperature sensor is the issue. Today when I was first riding the motor was at two bars on the temp and the cooling fans were running and the FI light was on.
Is the sensor on the radiator or by the thermostat?

The ECT sensor is screwed directly into the thermostat housing.
To access it, you must remove the air cleaner box. It is a 3-wire sensor tucked tightly beneath the throttle body assembly near the center V of the engine.

My bike had wire insulation baked, flaking off sensor wires near coolant sensor.Yours same thing most likely,pick off coating use silicone gasket sealer on each wire.No parts needed to fix
