Here is a link to a review that was done in the Financial Post here in Canada on the BMW. They seem to be quite pleased with the linked front brakes!! Also they compare the HP to the ST, saying it is superiour. What, 2 more HP's!!! However, the windscreen doesn't do it for them.

I believe the GT has 152 HP (as quotes in the story)..plenty more than the ST...of course it is 5 grand more at that.

My old BMW dealer has a K1200GT in stock for $20,385 US with the disclaimer

I can get a new ST1300 for ,what, $13,500 ????? More like 8-9,000 US $ difference. It sure as heck better be a LOT better bike than the ST.....

I love BMWs but think I'll keep the ST....

Yes you're right..math was never my strong point.
