This 2004 Honda RC174 George Beale Replica sold for $330,000 at the 2026 Mecum Motorcycle Auction in Las Vegas.
The Mecum Motorcycle Auction returned to South Point Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas in January 2026, and with more than 1,800 motorcycles set to cross the block, a fifth day was added to the 35th annual event.
Leading up to the event, we posted preview articles covering some of the many rare and interesting motorcycles that would be up for auction, including American bikes, racing machines, Japanese bikes, British bikes, and rare and unusual motorcycles.
The 2026 auction didn’t disappoint, boasting eight record-breaking bikes, total sales of more than $20 million, and a 92% sell-through rate. It was streamed live on YouTube and Mecum TV on Roku.

1968 Honda CB750 Prototype
The top sale netted a final price of $330,000 for a 2004 Honda RC174 George Beale Replica. Beale reverse-engineered this bike from factory drawings and original parts to create an accurate representation of the 1967 bike ridden by “Mike the Bike” Hailwood in the 350cc Road Racing World Championship.
Close to the top sale price, a 1968 Honda CB750 Prototype sold for a record-breaking $313,500. This model was the very first CB750 sent to the U.S., and it came over for testing and marketing to hype up the incoming Honda CB750. This prototype is a one-of-a-kind and was constructed by hand, sharing no components with later pre-production bikes and only slightly resembling the production model.

1938 Vincent-HRD Series A Rapide
Selling for $236,500 was a 1938 Vincent HRD Series A Rapid, an original Vincent V-Twin that was the fastest production motorcycle in the world at the time of its introduction.
A well-preserved 1924 BMW R32 sold for $209,000. This historic model was designed by Max Friz and introduced the longitudinal boxer-Twin layout paired with shaft drive.

Other notable sales include a 1934 Harley-Davidson CAC ($203,500), a 1935 Indian Chief ($187,000), a 1901 E.R. Thomas Auto-Bi ($159,500), and a 1994 Harley-Davidson VR1000 ($93,500).
Congratulations to Mecum Auctions and to all the sellers and buyers. Visit the Mecum website for more details and a closer look at the 2026 bikes, and see the list of the top 10 motorcycle sales below.
