2027 Triumph Speed Twin 1200 Cafe Racer Edition
The 2027 Triumph Speed Twin 1200 Cafe Racer Edition is a new special-edition model based on the Speed Twin 1200 RS and limited to only 800 units worldwide, arriving to dealers in March 2026.
This limited-edition model takes inspiration from the British cafe racers of the 1960s and includes special details to set it apart from the standard Speed Twin 1200 RS. It features a low and tucked riding position thanks to clip-on bars, a single brown bullet seat, machined bar-end mirrors, a removable rear cowl, and passenger footpeg finishers, with the footpegs removed as standard but supplied in the crate for those who want to add them.
The color scheme is inspired by the historic British Racing Green shade and includes Competition Green and Aluminum Silver with Empire Gold coachlining. The gold coachline separates the green and silver on the tank and rear seat cowl, and the “Cafe Racer Edition” graphic on the tank is also in Empire Gold. A Number 12 graphic in Aluminum Silver can be found on the side panels.
Each of the 800 units will come with a certificate of authenticity. Other than these details, everything else is carried over from the Speed Twin 1200 RS, which debuted in 2025 as an up-spec version of the Speed Twin 1200 and replaces the outgoing Thruxton model.
The bike is powered by a 1,200cc parallel-Twin with peak power at 103.5 hp at 7,750 rpm and torque at 82.6 lb-ft at 4,250 rpm, with a 270-degree firing order. Premium suspension includes a fully adjustable Marzocchi inverted fork (4.7 inches travel) and fully adjustable Öhlins twin shocks (4.8 inches travel) with remote reservoirs. Braking action is assigned to dual Brembo Stylema M4.30 radial front calipers and 320mm front discs. The bike also comes with three ride modes (Road, Rain, and Sport), Optimized Cornering ABS and Traction Control, and Triumph Shift Assist, as well as a USB-C charging port. The LCD and TFT display are housed in a circular dial and allow phone connectivity.
