Good morning, special brew for you today!
I’m turning 63 today, Mrs Stu made us a special pot in the occasion.
There’s plenty for everyone.
Chocolate cake too!

I don’t usually celebrate, but Peter has been asking why I never throw a birthday party, so today it’s happening.
Burgers etc on the bbq this afternoon.

Yesterday I was supposed to be riding for about ten minutes to get some antifouling for the boat, but the conditions was just perfect so I took a 4 hour detour…..amazing!

Today is just being.

13˚c/55f, sunny, almost calm.

Enjoy!
Stu

Kong-Rats (raising a hot cuppa) to @STooRay then!

The journey of a thousand miles begins with...
a decent cup of coffee... :coffee:

G'Day...

11°/25°C today, blue skies, seasoned with haze due Sahara dust hovering... ☀️
so noticeable cooler then the past few days, disappointing to climate panic apostles...

me commuting on the ST, ze GF on her NT...

I remember times when warm, summer temperatures were highly welcomed...

708210964_957821653829203_917203544348034926_n.jpg

actually an ongoing scandal in the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation for firing their long time, always reasonable,
objective reporting (+ easy on the eyes ;)) female weather host, and replacing her with some dude...
who is simply obnoxious, untalented and known for climate panic social media postings long before that new assignment... :cautious:

and the scolding conflict with ze boss-man seems to ignite... 😁
as, on top of trying to run me over, he's notoriously +3 weeks late with my paychecks, I react accordingly by being notoriously late with (his) projects/work... pfffff...
and I have no hesitation to clearly voice this as well... :devilish:

so, lets celebrate this Pre-Friday by working ASAP...

as slow as possible...

Morning all, and Happy Birthday Stu! :birthday: (thanks for the coffee too!)

8C and drizzle-ish for the ride into work. The ride home may be cloudy, drizzle or rain. Undecided it is. It may pop up to 10C though.

Not much else on the books. I would have attended Stu's party, but it's kind of short notice and my personal jet is in for an oil change today.

Hope everyone has a great day, and gets cake.

Obo.

Good morning everyone

Happy Birthday, Stoo! It seems wrong that you should have had to be the one to make the coffee, but I'll offer my sincere thanks that you did.

It's 66°F and (gasp!) sunny in Rockville, after a week-plus of weather best suited to growing moss. Mostly sunny with a high around 76 is the call for later today.

Before I head for uke group this afternoon I'll try to get in some practice time at home. I tried yesterday but even simple tunes simply wouldn't play for me so I abandoned the effort and had a nap instead, before getting back up to make a big pot of chicken soup to use up broth and leftovers from cooking Mrs. Fun did over the weekend.

After that it was back out to the links for the now-usual half-round (we don't start until around 1600 hours) and dinner afterward.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.

Coffee AND cake?!
I'm in, and I'll wish Stu a Happy Birthday between mouthfuls.
It's bright out today, relatively speaking. Thin white clouds to diffuse the sun, which i suspect is high up there somewhere, though I can't actually see it. There is light, but no shadows.
I may not have mentioned that the belt I ordered for my push mower is the wrong size, about 2 inches short. I had hoped to get it running after work a couple of days ago.
Another example of how boring my life is these days. And Kaiser hasn't been to work with me all week, due to the rains. With more expected today, tomorrow, and maybe longer.
Time to get moving, so thanks for the cake, Birthday Stu! And the coffee.
Later.

Good morning all!
I’ll add my Happy Birthday, Stu!
I hope it’s a great one!
Very pleasant here today!
I’m off to get a new taillight for my truck, some dummy broke the outside plastic shield backing a trailer into a barnyard! Any guesses?
Toyota thinks a lot of their parts…
Enjoy your day especially the birthday boy!

It's hard to run with your mower when your pants or shorts fall down. If you can't find a proper fitting belt, try suspenders.

When I was searching for a belt for my mower deck, I got 4-5 before I gave up and took it to the local repair shop. Craftsman had multiple part numbers, which didn't fit, and I went through about 3 at Tractor Supply before I gave up. The local lawnmower guy found one that fit, but it's looser than OEM. About once a mow, I have to re-fit it around the drive pully. It took a day or two for Brenda to get used to the tractor's idiosyncrasies when she began mowing.

Good morning everyone, and happy birthday, Stu. Sorry, but I’ll have to pass on the chocolate cake. Yesterday’s doctor visit showed my A1c level was down to 6.7, so I’m trying to keep it there.

72/84 and you guessed it….more rain. We’ve had 6” of rain in the last week, but no flooding and the river isn’t even muddy, so the ground must have been really thirsty.

Good morning, all. Thanks for the coffee, Stu, and a very Happy Birthday to you, sir!

We have a mix of sun and clouds today with quite a bit cooler temps than yesterday. It's currently 15°C/59°F and the day's high will be 19°C/66°F. I think I'll enjoy the cool and mostly blue sky this morning to take myself on a long walk.

Everyone have a good one, stay safe and go safely. Enjoy your birthday burgers, Stu!

Patty

Happy Birthday Stu, and Good Morning, Sunny with mixed Clouds 58 F a little warmer in the afternoon. Wife and Precious got home about 10 pm last night, both were happy to be home home. Today's agenda pick up some legal stuff from the Law office, hopefully can get the fifth wheel Trailer registration in our name soon. Oh yeah have to mow my lawn, okay that's all I have, Y'all have a great time G

Morning & Happy Birthday Stu! And Morning to All, from another :wind1: , in Southern Utah!

Currently it is 61F, up from 53F and heading for 72F. The winds have been blowing all night, again, and from the SSW, up to 18mph. We got them up around 27mph yesterday, but 60MPH reported in Cedar City. Glad we are where we are!

Yesterday was mostly resting my knee from the move the day before. I took Chris out, for us to get a hamburger and when I got home I had to mow the lawn.

Today, I'll take the weedwhacker out and finish the lawn. And I need to feed the birds, before the start attacking us! :sneaky:

Once Chris is up, we'll get some breakfast. And of course, Pepsi(s) for later.

Anyone :bl13:, have a great day on the roads! :hat3:

Happy Birthday Stoo! And morning all!

Sunny and blue sky today, 14C now, 24C later.

Took the car into work today as the dogs decided they needed to spend a day in the office. Something something about not getting enough treats or pets at home. Very needy these Berners....

Hope everyone has a great day!

Happy birthday, Stu! Sounds like you had a great day...good for you! It's a very nice day here in SoMD as well. No more rain, finally! We sure needed it, but it was getting old and I couldn't get anything done! Coffee was much needed and appreciated, thanks!

Nothing to report otherwise. Just another work day. Try to get some work done outside. Mowing will come in a few days after its dried out a bit. Take care y'all!
