That dangerous moment when you finish your coffee and just sit there staring at that empty mug like it betrayed you personally...
You know you’re about to pour yourself another one... but still... :coffee:

G'Day... or maybe not...

5°/17°C, sunny... ☀️

home caffeinated out of pure survival instinct... ☕
commute uneventful...
but then...

Do you think I'm in trouble once they figure out that in reality, I don't have Tourette's... 😆
So, upping the dose with office Nescafé... :coffee:

However, half a day to cope with, at 1230hrs I'm outta here... giddyup...

Tight schedule on the afternoon though as ze GF feels the urge to 'socialize'... <alarms going off>
We're booked for some dinner followed by a cabaret way outside the city... 🤔
Besides the caused lack of time for doing my chores (mind that Friday afternoons are the only me-time I have...), is this plan of hers a tad unsettling...
Like any other (wannabe)celebrity have stand-ups started to voice strong ideological-political agenda... which I'm not a fan of... at all...

Saturday morning will be stressed out with food- and garden-center runs... followed by... you might have guessed... gardening... yay... 👨‍🌾
So maybe Sunday I'll finally have a chance to put my feet up... but who knows... by nature are women notoriously 'inventive'... pfffff... ;)

Have a smooth launch into the weekend... without superstition...

Good morning everyone

Thanks for the coffee, Martin. "Make time to take time".

It's 28°F (!! brrrrrrr...) in Rockville. Mostly sunny with a high of 56 is what's anticipated for later. It's a roller coaster, though: 43, 56, 57, 60, 71, 36, 43, 55, 54, 62, and 43 are the highs from yesterday through Sunday next.

On the other hand, the sun is stay up longer each day:

Soooooo close. We're almost there.

Mrs. Fun let me know yesterday that I won't need to go to PA today after all, nor for any definite time in the near future. There will be a trip up at some point but it's not clear when.

Yesterday turned into a day of rest, as I didn't feel especially well. I dunno whether that was because of the onset of a cold / flu, the antihistamine I took mid-morning to stop a drippy nose, general sloth, or something else but whatever it was it definitely had my number. I'll see how today goes.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.

Thx Martin!
A cabaret….well, as long as you’re not on the stage, we’ll let it pass this time (only).
We do have an image to maintain.

Just around freezing, sleet, hail, 20mph wind from south, not very rock n’roll.

Yesterdays storm left us unharmed. Poor passengers arriving at the local airport, never did. Plane diverted first to Oslo, but once again wasn’t able to land , and then they diverted to Sweden…
They were never seen again.
I think.

Some grocery shopping, then driving MIL to the bus station….

Shrimps but no wine until next friday…pffft! ( a small pffft!)

@ibike2havefun Get better soon Keith!

Enjoy this Friday!

Morning all, and thanks for the startup Martin.

You know, a good cabernet sounds fine to me.

1773396623069.png

What didn't wound fine was the two snowplows on the road just before 4:30 this morning. Not how I like being woke up. The Mrs. got up, looked out the window, to which I asked "time to get up and snow blow?" but she replied, "no, don't bother with it." It could have used it, but it wasn't dire out. The commute in was slippery but the roads had been salted and sanded. Temps are currently -6 under almost clear skies (a few clouds) and a bright sliver of moon. Highs later should reach freezing and be mostly sunny.

Today's a busy day with an extra 4hrs of OT due to operational requirements. At least that should pay for the gas I'll burn to get home now. $200 a barrel you say? Come on motorcycle weather.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Obo.

Good morning and thanks for the wake-up coffee, Martin.

The sun's not over the horizon, yet, but it's clear and 27f. It will become somewhat cloudy, later, and the temperature will rise to 39.

I got my hair cut and visited the gym, yesterday, so I guess we're getting back to normal.

I'll be back to the gym again , today, and then onto the rest of the day.

Enjoy your day ,
Steve

Martin, Danke für den Morgenkaffee. Not much going on today, whether here along the front range is suppose to be warmer today so It is time to make a Germany Bakery run to Colorado Springs. Going to take the FJR for todays run. The FJR has not been out since the Tip Over off the lift in the Garage back in early Feb. All the broken tupperware has been replace except for the black vent panel. Still waiting from Japan. Bike is still ridable without it. Gassed up ready to go about 08:00 this morning.

Good Morning, happy Friday the 13th. Not planning anything important today, have done the usual stuff this morning. Cold and Damp outside 3 C high 6 C According to iPhone, a breeze from SSW at 8 mph.
Yesterday had a enjoyable visit with Gizmo (Dean) and his Dad, they came out to the Air Park, so I gave them a tour of Delta Heritage Air Park, thanks for the Chocolate and Peanuts. After there visit made it up to the bike shop to put a deposit on some tires for the ST1100 , should be in next week sometime. Thanks Martin for coffee, and stay healthy Y'all, G

Having this happen is a concern with an ST1300 while using these narrow Chinese lift tables. I see in your photo that you use raised platforms along side the lift table which helps maintain control of the bike. I am well aware of the balance issue. I have also read of these lift tables tipping over while the bike is securely strapped on to it due to their narrow stance. I am curious to know if the tip-over was simply the result of loosing the balance point while moving the bike or was it the result of something else I haven't thought of. I have the same lift table and I would like to avoid a similar fate some time in the future.

P.S. You didn't look to distraught when you were taking the photos so that is a good thing. Enjoy the baked goods.

Morning Martin & All from sunny, Southern Utah!

Currently it is 55F, up from 30F and heading for 70F. We have a slight breeze now, but later the winds will be out of the W @ 9 to 12mph.

Chuck, glad to see you got the FJR back in running shape.

I decided that I needed more piers for the greenhouse, so Chris and I got a hamburger, then stopped at Home Depot for the piers and back home. I then connected the house faucet to my sprinkler system to water the bushes. With the warmth we are getting, it's time to water the plants. Usually the snow/rain takes care of that, but since we have gotten very little of either, things are getting pretty dry.

Today, I'll see what I can do to get the foundation for the greenhouse started.

Cold cereal & bananas to start the morning, Pepsi(s) for later.

Anyone :wht13: , have a great day on the roads! :hat3:

G'mornin' G'dafternoon from SoMD! Boy Ol' Man Winter and Mother Nature sure are in a tussle here! We went from 86F/30C for yesterday's high, to 60F/15.5C yesterday morning, to 40F by noon and raining, 33F and snow by afternoon, to 35F and sunny by 5pm. Today's low was 26F/-3C. I felt I needed coffee in one hand and a mai tai in the other! Supposed to stay in the 40s and windy, so maybe swap the mai tai for a frozen margarita?

A Friday WFH for me, possibly the last if mgmt gets a new seating order in place and our cubes are actually open to move into next week. Haven't heard anything yet. I may opt to go in next week and just "hot-bunk" an open seat. It's been nice espcially not having to burn gas or time comuting, but I'm missing out on volleyball and jazz rehearsals...of which that upcoming concert is up in the air due to the continuing shutdown.

Not doing anything outside, working on some simple 3D model stuff on the aside. Then my wife and I will go see a one-woman show starring a good theater friend of ours and written by another, titled "A Contrary Woman". It's about Jeanette Rankin, the first woman elected to Congress. Anything else will be a surprise and a mystery.

Take care y'all!

I have been riding my bikes up on this lift for over 20 years now and no issues. Came to a stop and was just about to get off the bike using the gray out rigger boxs for a place to put my feet, and hoist the bike on the centerstand. This time my outrigger box somehow slid out from my foot just as I got the bike up on the lift and came to a stop. No where in that instant to find another foot hold. You can see on the picture how far the box is from the lift.

Just got back from the from Colorado Spring German Bakery Run. (Wimberger's Old World Bakery & Deli) with the FJR. Bike ran great, smooth, fast, comfortable. And the panniers were full of goodies.
