Almost ready to test the alternator upgrade…

Hey gang,
Pardon the stupid question, but I’m almost ready to try the 40amp alternator upgrade after a bit of a speed bump in my progress. I’m assuming that I just have to “block off” the unused wires in the picture below since there is no more separate reg/rec with the new wiring and alternator? Everything else appears to be wired up properly (did the red-wire bypass earlier). Is this correct?

Got a new swingarm and painted a few things while I had her apart. Had a pinhole leak in the fuel tank, so I had to find a replacement for that! Also recovering from knee replacement surgery…ugh!

pffff... just realized that its been over 5 years since I did the conversion/upgrade on the '94 ST over here... 🤔

The only thing I recall is, that after unwrapping the wiring harness it was a pretty straightforward plug and play...

I'm positive the '96 onward wiring diagram, hosted by librarian John OoSTerhuis will help to clear things up:
