Roses are red,
coffee is black,
don't touch my mug,
or I'll give you a smack... :coffee:

G'Day...

another damp, dim, gray winter day @ 0°/+2°C, and possible rain in the late afternoon...
grabbed some paper towels and window-cleaner at the office to clean the trusty Toyota's headlights...
the poor car looks like been driven trough the Africa Rally during rain season... :cautious:

driving gets more difficult every day, the virus of Xmas-madness is spreading...
not to mention the (likely boozed up) e-scoot and bicycle riders with no lights, zig-zagging erratically, wearing black camouflage...

GF's left wrist will get a CT today...
movement still restricted with discomfort, doc thinks the joint is a bit "packed",
there 8 carpal bones, and like in a gearbox assembled wrong, somethings jamming...
OTOH has her reha been granted, even appointed earlier, starting mid Jan now, 3 times a week...
so possible back in the saddle of her NT700VA by spring...

office moderate hectic... as said the end of the year is near...

I might have another cuppa... :coffee:

have a pleasant week-divider

Thx Martin!
A clean car, oh what memories!

6˚c/43f, overcast, 15mph wind from south, all in all ok.

Son is coming home (from Oslo) Friday night. He’ll stay for ten days. Very nice, me thinks.
I’m cleaning his room, and the man cave.
Then some leftovers ( fishcakes) for dinner.

Yesterday with Peter was nice as always, I think he’s powered by a lithium cell.
Note to self; there’s a reason pirates never grew old.

Have a good one!
Stu

Morning all and thanks Martin for starting us up.

It's just above freezing here at +3, headed up to +4 under cloudy skies.

Today's fate is unknown, which kind of is the point in life dontcha think? I mean, if we knew what they day held we might never get out of bed.

Hope yours is enjoyable and full of wondrous mischief.

Good morning everyone

Thanks for the hot start, Martin. The buildup of winter crud on my car is something I hate to see. I grew up in the Chicago area, which is a place notorious for heavily-salted pavement in winter. Within a week after a snow, everything - cars, roads, sidewalks, even the snow itself - is coated with a dirty gray grime that precisely mirrors and blends with the typical dead gray sheet of clouds 500 feet overhead. It's astonishing that the suicide rate isn't fifty times what it is.

It's 27°F in Rockville, and "mostly clear". Mostly cloudy with a high of 55 is expected later, but I don't expect the ground to be in suitable condition for golf. For one thing, last weekend's inch of snow cover has yet to fully disappear. For another, the ground will still be frozen a half inch below the surface - if it has thawed at all - so the top layer will be a slimy, muddy mess. I think I'll wait for spring to arrive before taking up my war clubs again, unless I do something novel and travel south for the specific purpose of goofing a round or four.

Christmas cards don't write themselves, so that's on my to-do list for the day.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.

Good morning and thanks for the coffee start, Martin.

It's partly cloudy and 28 this morning , rising to 42, later.

I never did go skiing, yesterday, but did get to the gym.
I got off to a slow start, in spite of rising early.

I'll head to the local ski area in a bit, to get a few runs in.
We've been going through our leftovers, in anticipation of our trip to Oregon next week, so I guess we'll dine out, later

Enjoy the day,
Steve

Thanks Martin, the coffee helps, and the rhyme is truthful. Lots of things to break in the wrist, as I understand, but don't think i need to experience that... uh, firsthand.
Wishing ZGF all the best in her recovery.
It's 34 out now, meaning above freezing, but still 12v warmth will be appreciated. Not my favorite time to ride, for the extra time required to dress effectively in the cold.
When does summer come back?
It's way after dark when I get home from work, so the 4-wheeled box won't see attention till the weekend, during daylight. But rain coming tomorrow, making for messy logistics.
But no more mysterious starting issues with the GSA.
First world problems, I reckon.
So nothing more witty or wise or even silly to say, so I'll trundle off to refill my mug.
Make the best day you can.

Took a picture yesterday sunrise ...

Almost it looks like a star rising in the East.

Reminds me of one of the pieces I learned in high school choir, lo these many decades ago, with music by Felix Mendelssohn:

There shall a Star from Jacob come forth,
And a Sceptre from Israel rise up,
And dash in pieces princes and nations.
As bright the star of morning gleams,
So Jesus sheddeth glorious beams
Of light and consolation!

Thy Word, O LORD, radiance darting,
Truth imparting, gives salvation;
Thine be praise and adoration

Appropriate for the season, yes?

Good morning. Thanks, Martin.

Yep, I slept late. I was up late reading, and for some reason my bladder also slept late, so it was after 8:00 when I first opened my eyes. And for some reason, I feel great this morning. Thanks, Mr Obvious.

It’s 44 and overcast. High should reach 55. I’m seriously thinking about loading up the camper, for a holiday getaway. What little family I have left, have already started whining about which day to get together for the holidays. They’re trying to accommodate the schedules of all their in-laws, as well as boy/girl friends of grandchildren. They may need to search local campgrounds to find me and Teddy.

Humbug,

John

Good Morning, Spectacular Sky this morning when I went to open the Airport gate, New Crescent Moon just over the horizon. Clear Sky with Bright Stars , gentle breeze from the West.40 F high 48 F , good condition for a test ride. Haven't tried the bike with new fork oil, so hopefully today is the day. Two things on the agenda, Follow up Vet visit for Precious, and a small grocery run. All righty then! Y'all have a good day, and Thanks everyone, G

G'mornin' from SoMD! A milder 27F/-3C this morning as I headed out the door. A busy day as I woke up late from staying up last night to make a batch of peppermint bark for my officemates, then a holiday jazz concert today. Also just got told by my boss I'm not needed to come in Friday, so I get to WFH the rest of the week, YAY!

Thanks for the delicious coffee, Martin, I even took it black today! Take care y'all!

morning Martin & All from sunny, Southern Utah!

The unusual warm (sort of) weather continues. Currently it is 54F, up from 32F and heading for 63F. A slight breeze now, and later we'll have the winds from the WSW @ 16 to 18MPH.

Yesterday's Costco run was a bit of a disappointment. One main reason to go was to get Pepsi. Guess what they were out of? :censored::censored::censored::censored: But there was a WallyWorld near by and they had it on sale, so that helped.

If the winds aren't too bad by the time I get dressed, I'll try to get one of the bikes out.

Chris just woke up, time for Breakfast. We did get some OJ, so I'll have that this morning and the Pepsi(s) later.

Anyone :bk13:, have a great day on the roads! :hat3:

They may need to search local campgrounds to find me and Teddy.
John will be at the fortress of solitude.
Sounds like a really, really good plan.

Thanks for the delicious coffee, Martin, I even took it black today!
...the ONLY way to drink coffee.
(Everything else would be a milkshake.)

Morning all! Sunny and blue sky today....for now. We've had torrential rains the past few days so the break is nice. The forecast says some rain will roll through at some point. 5C with a predicted high of 8C.

Not much going on. Have to take my wife to physio this morning but otherwise I might wander down to the local Windsor Plywood and see what kind of wood they have in stock. My wife has been chanting for a round coffee table and I need to decide whether it's better to try and make one or buy a nicer manufactured one for less money. What to do...what to do.....

Hope everyone has a great day!
