Anybody tried these armored under-pants?

I've never seen them before but they do look promising. I hope someones got some input on them...

I've had a set for years and used to wear them under my Draggin jeans during hot weather. Very good quality but I never had to 'field test' them. Finally got First HT Air because of the 'dressing time' and inability to take them off at long stops on a ride (not very comfortable to sit in a chair). So I don't use them any more. But I still use the Bohn shirt under my Draggin shirt for rides to and from the office in really hot weather. The armor is great (a bit bulky), but as he states, provides no abrasive protection. The shirt ventilates very well and I will probably take the shirt armor to wear under my Stich when I go to Ireland next year so I can use the Draggin Shirt if the temps get really warm. Hope that helps.

How do you feel about the Draggin stuff? Think it would do it's job if sliding around? Does it fit under jackets OK?

IRELAND? You taking your bike, or renting I'm sure? That was a dumb question. Guess it makes sense, you got no place left to paint red on this side of the pond.

RIVER - I have known some folks to get off with the Draggin shirt and it did it's job. Since the shirt is made entirely of kevlar, I'm not too worried about it as long as you have some good armour under it like the Bohn stuff. The jeans only have kevlar in the seat and knees, so I'm not so sure about them and the kevlar in the seat gets a bit uncomfortable for me on a long trip. Ireland? Renting what may be a Connie 14 since all of their 1300 STs are booked (unless he gets the new ST replacement if it's out by then). I'd love to take one of my bikes, but unless I go for over 3 weeks, the numbers just don't work out. And we're only over there for a little over a week for this trip - mainly to take the wife to see the Ring of Kerry and Blarney Castle.
