Ariete Valves

The Ariete valves were expensive but have proven to be more than worth the $28 I paid. I got them to make it easier to check tire/adjust pressure but the greatest benefit has been to greatly reduce the need to do so. I was adding air about every week before I put them on. Have gone 4 weeks and the pressure has held steady. VERY nice!

My dealer wants to install a new valve stem with each new tire install but not of course on my wheels with Areite billet valves that went on when the original tires were replaced. . He gets $10 per install for a valve and since then think I have had 17 rear tires mounted. The Arietes were kind of pricey new but have really paid for themselves many times.

I first installed 'em a few years back on two of my bikes.

I now consider them a "must have" item for all of my future bikes that have tubeless wheels.

Heads up- There are Chinese knock-offs out there that are about $6 cheaper, but not as well designed and according to a tire vendor I spoke with, harder to install.

Go with the quality stuff. M2C

I've got the Ariete Valves on my '05 and the cheaper knock offs on the '04. Both seem to be doing fine, but I'll be buying a set of Arietes for the 2010.

I've lost count how many tire changes I've done on the '05. With 174K on it, I'm sure it is close to 16 or 17, maybe 18? It will be getting one more tire change by Byron, before it heads north!
