Arizona US191 (666 Highway)

Took a weekend run to Silver City, NM, then over Highway 78 to Clifton/Morenci, AZ and up 191 to Alpine, AZ. Lots of deer hunters in the forest and wondering how many scopes I ended up in during the day. Lunch at the Bear Wallow Cafe then back down to Silver City and home on Sunday. This is one of my favorite rides in the US and make it every year. Highly recommended. Your bike will get dusty at the Freeport McMoran strip mine. Lots of trucks running hauling rock. It's a big mine. I get frustrated mounting mc tires. How would you like to change out one of these?

I have ridden that stretch of 191 twice before. I liked it so much the first time that I brought 2 friends with me to ride it again.

2025 Highway 666 Fall ride

I've had several inquiries as to when this year's Fall ride will be so here are the dates. This years Arizona Fall ride out of Springerville will be Thursday October 2nd - Sunday October 5th. The Econolodge will be the morning meeting place again. There are other motels in the area if you wish...

Love that road. The first time I rode it was with a bunch of friends, from south to north. We stayed in Springerville, and the next morning they continued north, I enjoyed the road so much, I turned around and rode it north to south. I still try to ride it once a year or so.
