Having read through most of the internet, my brain hurts and I don't think I have answered any of the questions that I have before I install a Super Pro Automatic and try to get it to talk to my iPhone.
My plan for the autocom unit is to have it wired into the bike with the hub at the rear and powered via one of the quartet harness connectors (earth will be to the battery not the quartet harness).
Long term plans for integrating the phone will include having it powered from the bike (again via the quartet harness) and kept in suitable box via a RAM mount on the clutch side of the handlebars.
The questions that I have are:
1. What is the best way of connecting an iPhone 4S to the autocom unit? Bluetooth or hardwired and what are the pros and cons.
2. Depending on how the phone is wired, will I be able to use Siri whilst riding? Would be nice, especially being able to send a reply text after getting the phone to tell me what it said.
3. Will the setup auto answer the phone if it rings and not require a swipe of a the finder (not the easiest thing to do whilst riding).
Any answers or opinions will be appreciated.
