I've searched with not much luck, I have a waterproof winter jacket but need a very good two piece, light weight, high vis rain suit. the few i've found online look very "cheap" and i already have one of those. Help, Thanks.

I use the Frog Togs.... Not the best out there but only about $50 for a light weight breathable 2-piece suit.... folds up fairly small and light weight.

+1 on Frog Togs. I rode in a torential downpour last week and stayed dry as a bone.

I have a few thoughts for you:
First, according to what I read in various reviews, any quality rain suit will keep you dry. Hum... look for the word "quality" on the lable I guess.

I have three different types of rain suits. The first is the liner in my gear that is supposed to be waterproof. I find it leaks at the neck in heavy rains.

The second set is by a company called "RHINO." If I really tighten the neck, it is very waterproof. In the past I have put the Rhino coat over the "waterproof liner" gear and stayed dry even when riding for a few days in almost constant rain. This suit is made out of a thin vinyl like material, however and does not breath. After a day or two in it, I find myself chapping from being wet with sweat all the time.

Recently I bought a set of Frog Togs. The coat has an integral hood that goes under your helmet. The first time I used them, I didn't use the hood and water poured in around the neck. I got soaked. The next time, I used the hood and they worked well. The fabric does breath to a degree and I'm thinking they are going to be my favorite suit.

Nearly anything will keep you dry in light rain- heck the Tupperware does a reasonable job itself. In the heavy rain, (given that I realize its coming) I will continue to put the waterproof liner in my riding pants and coat and then put the Frog Togs over it. Probably overkill, but there you have it.

Genobike- What is 'best' can be a subjective thing. However, you might look through this thread and see if you can utilize any of the info that was offered up when I put up an inquiry along the same lines as you are asking.

I have Firgear Splash jacket and pants, they are absolutely waterproof, but they wont breathe any either. I've had them since '03, they are part of my daily carry gear, and they get used quite often. When the temps get down really low, I put the coat over the top of my other gear to act as a wind break. I've been very pleased with them.

I have the Frog toggs also.Love them.
Here in the PNW we get rain. Not as much as the boys up north but we got our share.
The toggs breath which is what drew me to them.

For 58 bucks they are money well spent IMOP

Frogg Toggs for sure. I went through a tropical storm in PA a few weeks ago and stayed dry as a bone thanks to my Frogg Toggs and TCX X-Fives. They breath somewhat but when its 90's and humid you have to get them off as soon as it stops raining or your gonna sweat your a** off. ;)

I bought FirstGear Rainman suits for us last year (the bright yellow ones) but have only been in a couple rain storms, and no gully-washers. They seem to work well, the hood is a nice feature but takes some getting used to.

These don't breath well, so you will cook when it's not raining.

I see they are available at NewEnough!
