Gloves Best Waterproof Gloves

I'm looking int o a new pair of waterproof gloves. I've been using Joe Rockets Ballistic gloves, but have not had very good luck with them :( . Last year on the ride home from the Honda Hoot ran into rain and with in a few minutes my hands were soaked. (Made sure they were inside my rain suit, put them on before the rain started etc)

What brand are you guys using?

I've used several pair of so called waterproof gloves, Olympia and Roadgear to name a couple. The first gloves liner sticks to your fingers and you can't get wet or damp hands back into the glove and the second is affected by wicking?. That's what I was told at last years Hoot when I took the soaking wet "waterproof" gloves in to the Roadgear Booth. So I went back to what I have been using for years. Xtra large Dishwashing gloves. Put them on over regular gloves. They work , don't wick, and only cost about $2.50 a pair. The pair I have now has lasted for over 5 years. Nuf said.

I've got the FirstGear Voyager gloves, and I've found them to be very good. The gauntlet is a little big so hard to get inside my Kili. sleeves which is how I ride with them in the rain to keep the water from going into the gloves. I'm ordering some HELD Hawk gloves for next winter and storm summer waterproof gloves, so I'll have to see how they do.

I, too, had a pair of Joe Rocket "waterproof" gloves. They were junk. I left for Nova Scotia in the rain and within a couple hours my hands were soaked. For the rest of the trip, when it rained I used my lightweight gloves (not waterproof) with the latex gloves from my first aid kit as liners. That actually worked well. Since then I picked up the $3 overgloves from Aerostich. Nothing keeps you dry like rubber. Item 436 at http://www.aerostich.com/riderwearhouse.store
 
I recently purchased a pair of Firstgear MASTERS summer rain gloves. They work GREAT! in all kinds of weather with my heated grips. But...... I have as yet tried them in the rain. I just know they will somehow fail and I will end up with a pair of wet glove's I wont be able to wear for several days.

The best thing I have found to date for riding in the rain is a pair of neoprene wet suit diving gloves ($20 bucks). Found at your local Sports Chalet. They come in many sizes and thickness. Even if your hands get wet ( and mine haven't yet ) they will still stay nice and warm. The ones I bought have an extra long gauntlet with double velcro straps, really keeps the water out.
 
I'm using a pair of REI Men's Minimalists gloves. They have a soft lining and not a lot of padding/insulation but a nice sticky type rubber on the palms for grip. Haven't tried them in the rain yet but they seem nice.

I have small hands so getting a grip with thick gloves on suck. I use the heated grips and hopefully these gloves will keep the water out.
